 Imam Khalid Griggs relates
some stories of the sahabah to illustrate the profound mercy
of Islam. Afterall, the Prophet (P) was sent as a "mercy
to all the worlds" and he was an embodiment of mercy and
gave us a blueprint of how to share the mercy, love, and compassion
of Islam with ourselves and others. The imam highlights the story
of Talha who is known in the history as the "living martyr".
This lecture is the opening session of the 1998 ICNA Conference
"The Messenger and the Message of Mercy".
This tape also includes presentations
by several relief organizations for Kosovo, India, and Palestine.
