interacts with the youth, ages 5 to 15, in this workshop geared
towards motivating, educating, and empowering them with knowledge,
confidence, and dignity. What results from this informal session
is a light discussion based on the curious questions of those
youth present. Some the areas covered are: scientific discoveries
vs. Islam, being polite, why people or countries fight with each,
celebrating non-Muslim holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving,
wearing jewelry, and how to make meat and other things halaal
for us. Brother Munir speaks to the children on their level and
engages them with timely jokes and periodic games. |
