Born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1955, Dr. Munir has been actively
involved in da'wah through interfaith dialogues and has appeared
on several radio and TV programs. He is the author of many Islamic
books and regularly contributes to the London Free Press. He
was educated at Al-Maqasid Islamic Institute and continued his
studies at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated from
the University of Toronto as a dental surgeon. After years of
general practice he joined the University of Western Ontario
as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry,
and is also the school's Muslim chaplain.
