A lecture
based upon an old manuscript written during a revolt by Muslim
slaves in Brazil. This manuscript was written by the amir of
the group in response to one of his generals falling ill during
the campaign. And the work resulted in a basic handbook on medicine
based on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (P). Among other
things, the speaker discusses many of the spiritual aspects of
Islamic medicine that are neglected in modern Western medicine
and also makes a few interesting comparisons between the two.
Other topics discussed: the only
incurable sickness and tawheed.
