Based on a seemingly trivial hadith in which the Prophet (P)
said "Eat with your right hand", Imam Siraj Wahhaj
makes clear the profound position of Prophet Muhammad (P), the
weightiness
of his teachings and the responsibility on those who claim to
follow his way. A passionate khutbah that gives the believers
hope for Paradise, but a great sacrifice must be made first.
Imam Siraj challenges the jummah audience to make that sacrifice
and to "think different" from those who disbelieve.

in New York, is well known among Muslims in North America as
a dynamic, motivational speaker and tireless supporter of Islamic
causes. He accepted Islam in 1969 and received imam training
at Ummul Qura University in Makkah. He has gone on to become
a national and international speaker on Islam. He is the former
vice president of the Islamic Society of North America and has
served on the Majlis Ash-Shura 
since 1987. He is a former member of
ISNA's Planning Committee and is also a member of the Board of
Advisors for the American Muslim Council. He received high praises
from the media and NYPD for initiating anti-drug patrols in Brooklyn,
New York in 1988. |
