In leading up to his discussion
about the methodology of inviting others to Islam, Munir El-Kassem
first establishes the basis for da'wah by looking at the wisdom
of having different religions in the first place, the commands
given to Prophet Muhammad (P) with regard to the propagation
of truth, and the diversity inherent in humanity and creation.
This introduction helps place the role of da'wah within the context
of our situation as Muslims in America and should compel the
believer to feel the need for sharing this beautiful way of life
with others. In covering the methodology, the speaker analyzes
the four levels of da'wah, the danger of argumentation, and the
need to treat one another with kindness and respect.
Other topics discussed: "Allah"
meaning "God", Islam spread by the sword?, fiqh disagreements,
da'wah to new Muslims, not isolating yourself from others, family
planning, women as imam, the methodology of electing an amir,
and the beard in Islam.
